Kathmandu, 12 Sept : Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 179 more people in the last 24 hours across the country.
This came to light through 4,959 samples tested in various laboratories across the country during the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The total number of those infected has reached 998,870 as of now.
The recovery rate is 98.6 percent, the Ministry said. Similarly, 171 people have recovered from the flu-like infection during the period. Currently, the number of active cases of COVID-19 stands at 2,271, with 2,190 in home isolation, 81 in institutional isolation and 15 in ICU facility. Likewise, a single death from the COVID-19 has been reported in the past 24 hours, with the death toll remaining at 12,051 till date.
