Morang, 28 Aug : Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala said alliance among political parties for upcoming elections was today’s need of the country.
The NC will forge an election alliance and this is the most pressing need of the hour, he said while inaugurating a training session organised here today by the NC Morang constituency-6. NC should get at least 100 seats in the November 20 federal parliamentary election, he said, adding the deal should be made with the coalition parties accordingly.
NC should keep with itself the constituencies the party won in the federal parliament and province assembly polls in 2074 BS, he said, laying emphasis that the party’s representation should be ensured in the federal parliament or the province assembly in all 77 districts. The party and the government should work to maintain good governance and transparency keeping responsiveness to the people at the centre, he suggested.
