Kathmandu, 23 April : Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the communist movement must be made cohesive as per need of country and people.
Addressing a programme organized on the occasion of the establishment day of Nepal communist party here today, PM Dahal viewed communist movement should be unified and cohesive based on new thoughts and new basis. The programme was a seminar on ‘Nepal’s communist movement: Achievement, challenges and potential’. “Efforts to unify communists based on new thoughts and policy should be continued. We are in the same state.
Although those against the principle of people’s centrality are against unity among communists, we are for unity at present too,” he argued, informing that a socialist front would be formed within some days, which, he believed, would be a turning point to launch the process of polarization in the communist movement.
He further made it clear that communist party of Nepal should be a unified communist party for which he had held discussions with several communist leaders. “If leadership adopts wrong thoughts and visions, it results in huge damage, invites big counterrevolution. We saw it in the international communist movement and even before us in the country,” Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) reminded.
According to him, the general election of 2074 was a great progressive move taken by the communists. The proposal for it was made by him, Dahal asserted.
