US congressional delegation pays courtesy call on PM Deuba



Kathmandu, 23 Apr : Visiting US Congressional delegation has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The five-member delegation led by senator Kirsten Gillibrand met PM Deuba at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar today.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister and US delegation discussed on various aspects of multi-dimensional Nepal-US relations as well as various issues of mutual welfare and common interest, according to the Foreign Ministry.

They also exchanged views on Nepal-US friendship, government and parliaments of both countries as well as promotion of partnership and cooperation among the people. Discussion was also held on global issues including climate change.

Similarly, the delegation also met the Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka today itself. Both the sides held discussion on the issues of expanding cooperation on different sectors including economic development as the issues of common interests, added the Ministry.

It has been believed that the visit of US senators would help make the mutual relations friendly at parliament-level of both countries.
